It is pretty creepy watching scary movies. Well, what if you could actually visit some pretty creepy places? Here are the top 10 most haunted places in the world.
1. Hoia-Baciu Forest, Romana: The Independent newspaper has reported that if a visitor could pass through this forest, they would feel rashes, nausea, and anxiety. This is known as the Bermuda Triangle of Transylvania.
2. Eastern State Penitentiary, Philadelphia, PA:
This prison was very centred on solitary confinement. Prisoners slept alone, exercised alone, basically ANYTHING they did was alone. That's pretty sad, having no one to talk to. If an inmate left his cell, the guard would cover his head with a hood so he couldn’t see or be seen. It closed in 1913 due to overcrowding. Now it is a tourist spot and visitors have reported paranormal activity like disembodied laughter, shadowy figures, and footsteps.
3. St. Augustine Lighthouse: Several tragic events happened at this particular lighthouse. A lighthouse keeper fell to his death while painting the tower, plus three young girls drowned when they were playing in a cart. Visitors now claim to see the ghost of the lighthouse keeper and sounds of children playing.
4.Tuen Mun Road, Hong Kong China: This highway in Hong Kong has been heavily used, so a number of accidents have happened here. Many accidents were caused by poor construction since of the steep terrain and winding coastline. Improvements have been added, but accidents are still frequent. There might even be some ghosts on this highway!
5. Aradale Asylum, Australia: The Aradale Asylum opened in 1867, and not all deaths here were of natural deaths. Some guests have experienced strange sensations like being touched and cold winds through the building.
