When you are up to bat, you want to be nice and relaxed. Relaxing helps you by not getting too tense. What a load helps you with is being ready, so when the pitcher gets on the mound, you are relaxed, but when she rocks back to start her pitch, you start to load. Stepping helps you because you have more power from using your legs. Your approach is when the bat is over home plate, but you have to keep your eyes on the ball. Extension is when you are pointing your bat at the pitcher. Your finish is when your bat is wrapping around your shoulder. Those are the six steps to hitting a ball.
